Finding the Holiday Spirit: A Journey of Love, Light, and Connection

Each year, I set out to find the Holiday Spirit, and each year, I find it—this year was no exception.

It all started a while back, during a visit to the hair salon, when I felt drawn to offer messages to a woman from a recently passed loved one. Fast-forward to today, and we’ve become good friends. She invited me to join her for yoga on the beach the Friday before Christmas, and I eagerly accepted. It had been a while since I practiced yoga, and I had never done it by the beach, so I was excited.

When we arrived for the class, we found it to be a small group of three people, due to the holiday season, which turned out to be perfectly timed. As I worked through the poses, pushing through my body’s stiffness from lack of practice, I slowly sank into the experience and felt a deep sense of peace. By the time the class ended, I began receiving messages and visions meant for the yoga instructor. Thanks to the intimate class size, I was able to approach her privately and ask if she would be open to me sharing the messages I had received. She agreed, and as I spoke, every word resonated with her. She was deeply touched and incredibly grateful. I left the beach that day feeling uplifted, grateful, and full of the Holiday Spirit.

On my way home, I stopped by the nail salon. While chatting with the woman who does my nails regularly, she shared with me that she felt she hadn’t accomplished much over the past year. Inspired by the joy I’d just experienced at yoga, I effortlessly tuned into a different perspective on her year and shared it with her. I reminded her of the significant changes she had made in her life—how she had completely shifted her lifestyle, become healthier, and lost weight as a result. I told her that this was no small feat. Her eyes brightened, and a warm, proud smile spread across her face, as if she had just received the gift of the Holiday Spirit.

The next day, still basking in the gifts of the season, I stopped by my local grocery store. While checking out, I felt an overwhelming sense of “sister energy.” I asked the cashier if she would be open to me sharing the messages I was receiving, and she agreed. I asked her if she understood the “sister energy” I was picking up on and if the name “Nina” meant anything to her. She looked at me, hesitated, and then shared that, although she usually doesn’t “believe in this kind of thing,” Nina was her sister, who had recently passed. I told her that her sister was with her, that she wasn’t alone, and that our loved ones often draw even closer to us during the holidays.

As I reflect on this beautiful thread of the Holiday Spirit that wove through each of these experiences, I feel a renewed sense of positivity and a reaffirmed faith in the existence of Spirit. It strengthens my commitment to being a warrior of light and a beacon of love.
